Summer Camps

Policies

Admission Policy: Enrollment in the program shall be granted without regard to race, sex, or national origin.

Registration: Campers are accepted until camps are full. Space is limited, so register early. Fees can not be pro-rated for partial week attendance, and ALL fees are non-transferable between camps.

Camp Eagle Child Release: If there are any custody issues our staff needs to be aware of, and a parent is denied contact with a child, we must have a copy of the court order on file.  NCCS Camp Eagle cannot release a child to an individual who is not listed on the authorization form. Please list any and all people who might be picking up your child during the summer. Staff members will be checking identification to verify the adult who will be picking up the child. Please have driver’s license ready when you sign the child out.

Refunds will be issued if the school is notified on or before May 28th.
After May 28th no refunds will be issued.  With questions please contact Nancy Morales Dondiego at: nmorales@ncchristian.org.

Lunches/Snacks: ALL campers must bring a sack lunch, a nutritious snack, and drink daily.

Fee for Late Pick-up: In the event a parent arrives after 6:00 PM to pick up his/her camper, it is necessary to impose an additional fee of $1 per minute for every minute past 6:00. This fee must be paid at the time of late pickup.

Discipline Policy: Campers will be clearly informed and given every opportunity to adhere to the policies of the school regarding self control, respecting the rights and property of others, and proper conduct. However, we reserve the right to dismiss any camper from the program whose behavior is detrimental to him/herself, to other campers, or for the destruction of school property.  Modesty in dress is expected at all times, and appropriate clothing required. The use or possession of alcohol, drugs, tobacco products, or weapons is not allowed, and any camper in possession of such items will be dismissed from the program and the appropriate authorities will be contacted. No refunds will be given if a camper is dismissed.

Health Requirements: It is the parent’s responsibility to monitor the daily health of their child.  If your child is ill, he or she may not attend the program. If your child has a fever of 100 degrees or more, diarrhea, or any other contagious symptoms, he or she may not attend the program.  When a child shows signs of illness at camp, the parent will be notified and must pick up their child immediately.

Medication: If a child is to receive medication while at camp, we must have a completed authorization form on file to administer medication.  All medication must remain in the original container from the pharmacy.

Accident Procedure: In the event that a child is injured while attending camp, the following steps will be taken to ensure the proper care for the child:

1.  Minor scrapes and cuts will be cleaned and
     bandaged by a counselor.

2.  If there is an extreme emergency, 911 will be called.
     Parents will be immediately notified.
  A staff member
will go with the child to the hospital if transport becomes
necessary.  The staff is not allowed to transport a child in their private vehicle.

3.  Accident reports will be completed for all accidents and must be signed by a parent.

NCCS Summer Camp does not provide medical insurance for its participants.

Site Emergency: In the event of an emergency or a natural disaster, the following procedures will be in effect:

1.  All campers will remain at the site until a parent or other
authorized person can pick him or her up.

2.  In the event of a site evacuation, campers will be taken
to a local emergency center.  The location will be
posted on the front entrance of the building.
Efforts will be made to contact parents if an evacuation
becomes necessary. Summer camp staff will remain
with the child until he or she is picked up.

Scholarship Donations: Every year there is an increase in the number of children in need of financial assistance to attend camp.  Through the generous giving of individuals and corporations we are able to offer scholarships to some of these children. If you would like to invest in the life of a child with a tax-deductible donation, contact Nancy Morales Dondiego at 770-975-0252 extension 195.
