History Through Wargaming

For Co-Ed Campers: Entering 6th - 10th Graders

Instructor: David McElhannon

Schedule: June 15-19, 2009
9:00 A.M.- 4:00 P.M.

Cost: $160 (includes T-Shirt and cookout)

Description: History will be close enough to reach out and touch in this one week camp! Your camper will glean a hands on view of some of history’s most famous events. Campers will have a chance to explore the mysteries of civilization along the Nile River, maintaining a city state in Ancient Greece, city building in Ancient Rome, the intrigue of the Renaissance and Reformation, and the glory of discovering the New World! Campers will be encouraged to create their own game, using their artistic and creative skills to the fullest.

World War II Through Wargaming

For Co-Ed Campers: Entering 6th - 10th Graders

Instructor: David McElhannon

Schedule: July 13-17th, 2009
9:00 A.M.- 4:00 P.M.

Cost: $160 (includes take-home figurines and cookout)

Description: World War II will come alive in this one week camp! Your camper will gain a hands-on perspective of the combatants that participated in the war! Campers will be informed of the background and outcome of the battle and then will be able to recreate it through the use of model figurines, possibly even changing the outcome! In addition, campers will also paint their own troops, using their artistic and creative skills to the fullest.
