World War II Through Wargaming For coed campers entering grades 6th through 10th
Instructor: David McElhannon, Middle School Social Studies Teacher

World War II will speak across the decades in this one week camp! Your camper will gain a hands-on perspective of several of the most famous battles of the war, through the experience of wargaming. Campers will be informed of the background and outcome of the battle and then will be able to recreate it through the use of model figurines, possibly even changing the outcome! In addition, campers will be encouraged to create their own game, using their artistic and creative skills to the fullest. _________________________________________________________________
History Through Simulation Games For coed campers entering grades 6th through 10th

History will be close enough to reach out and touch in this one week camp! Your camper will glean a hands on view of some of history’s most famous events. Campers will have a chance to explore the mysteries of civilization along the Nile River, maintaining a city state in Ancient Greece, city building in Ancient Rome, the intrigue of the Renaissance and Reformation, and the glory of discovering the New World! Campers will also be instructed in how to create their own game, using their artistic and creative skills to the fullest. _________________________________________________________________
The American Civil War Experience For coed campers entering grades 6th through 10th

The American Civil War will come alive in this one week camp! Your camper will gain a hands-on perspective of several of the most famous battles of the war, through the experience of wargaming. In addition, campers will be encouraged to participate in a living history event at the conclusion of the week, dressing the part and taking part in the daily camp life of a soldier. _________________________________________________________________

This fantastic camp will meet all your creative outlets! The week will fly by as you make new friends through summer book clubs, writing, drama, and scrapbooking. We’ll also pull out the aprons and chef’s hats as you are transformed into first class cooks for daily snack time.You’ll have a blast creating smoothies, Belgium waffles, freshly baked bread, crock-pot creations, and chocolate fondue! _________________________________________________________________
